My Approach to Therapy

My goal is to ensure that you get the support you need to successfully navigate the challenges or difficulties you are facing and help you create a better, more satisfying life,    I will guide and accompany you on your path. I can help you learn tools and skills to cope in healthy ways so that you can thrive; help you examine your communication patterns so that you can learn to communicate more effectively in ways that get results and improve your relationships.  Together we can identify what’s getting in your way and develop strategies to overcome the barriers that hinder you from achieving your personal goals. I can also help you identify beneficial adjustments and keep you on track and accountable for taking the steps you can to build the life you desire.

Changes in our roles, relationships or health, life and career transitions, grief and loss, even pain and suffering, are all a natural part of our human condition. Yet, we have tremendous power to take the challenges life throws us as opportunities to adapt. In this way we create of our lives a beautiful tapestry that weaves together our challenges and our strengths. Therapy provides a safe space to help us explore how to grow through challenges, in the words of Victor Frankl, “…in that space between stimulus and response, is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Psychotherapy helps us gain understanding & perspective on the events that have shaped our lives and the stressors that inform our mood; therapy also helps us to explore our role in co-creating our life and gently but supportively challenges our assumptions about ourselves, our thoughts, & our feelings, while helping us to make beneficial changes, and come to terms with difficulties.

I look forward to collaborating with you to best meet your specific needs.

Warm Regards,
