Insurance
Dr. McGrogan is currently an Out of Network provider for PPO insurance. Please check with your PPO in regards to your insurance deductible and co-insurance or reimbursement rate. Dr. McGrogan can provide you with an invoice, also called a superbill, to submit for reimbursement from your PPO. Superbills are provided for full fee paying clients.
Types of Services – Fees
Initial Intake/Assessment: $250 Typically a Clinical interview of 60- 90 minute duration which may include administration and scoring of baseline/outcome measures of symptoms to assess severity, monitor progress and facilitate treatment planning. During the pandemic, the initial assessment may be conducted over telehealth or if in person/in office, may be completed over the course of two 50 minute session.
Individual psychotherapy: $225 (50 minute sessions) Sliding scale available (see details below) Dr. McGrogan is certified in a number of Evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavior Therapy; Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression, Grief and loss; Seeking Safety for Trauma; Crisis Oriented Recovery services, Cognitive Behavioral Analyses Systems of Psychotherapy. Humanistic and interpersonal neurobiology /attachment informed treatment is also offered.
Clinical Screening Assessments for Cognitive functioning and /or ADHD: $425 After the initial intake assessment, typically two sessions ranging from 60-90 minutes each. The first session includes obtaining authorization to share protected Health Information (PHI) with your referring party, administration and scoring of baseline/screening measures and preparing report or letter for your primary health care provider, specialist or referring party. Second Session includes feedback, recommendations and reviewing your results with you.
Immigration Evaluations: $950 Two sessions of 90-120 minutes face to face, plus report writing and phone consultation with your referring legal representative; These assessments/evaluations are requested by your immigration attorney or legal representative to assist you in applying for Extreme Hardship Waivers, VAWA, Asylum, exemption from citizenship exam, cancellation of removal waiver, U and T-visas. Evaluations May include administration of a variety of clinical measures.
Sliding Scale Fees/Discounts
Sliding Scale: 60 minute session; $175 self pay with insurance waiver, no superbills
A limited number of reduced fee or ‘sliding scale” slots are available for individuals who can demonstrate a household income of under $100,000/year. Typically planned for up to ten continuous weekly sessions, not including holidays or planned vacations, but may be renewed or extended for medical necessity or absence of waiting list.
Professional Courtesy Rate: 60 minute session: $175, with insurance waiver, no superbills.
Psychotherapy session for Mental Health Practitioners/Allied health professionals and trainees following the same income criteria as sliding scale fees. (See tab for clinicians under Menu>Services>For Clinicians) .
Clinical Consultation for Licensed Clinicians: 60 minute individual consultation for licensed clinicians by video platform, phone or face to face $75/hr or split with another clinician. (See tab for clinicians under Menu >Services>For Clinicians)
