Clinical Consultation for Licensed Clinicians: Solo practice can be isolating. If you find you are missing those days of supervision and team meetings or are struggling with challenging cases and just need some different perspectives, interventions, diagnostic clarification, treatment planning suggestions, or simply validation and support, individual clinical consultation is available by the hour via telehealth platform. Healer’s Circle is an Interdisciplinary Consultation Group for Licensed Mental Health Clinicians in the South Bay.  Meet (virtually for now) with peers and colleagues to discuss clinical, professional and practice management issues in a supportive and confidential small group environment on a HIPPA secure tele-mental health Platform.  Psychologists, LCSW’s, LMFT’s, NP’s and Psychiatrists welcome.

Costs: a modest monthly fee to encourage participation.  Discounts available.  Invoices will be provided for business expenses.

Benefits:  Peer consultation is important for our mental health, reduces isolation, relieves stress and wards off burnout.   Sharing information, experiences, expertise and challenges helps us to obtain new and different perspectives. Peer consultation groups facilitate lifelong professional growth by offering mentoring, clinical support, personal/professional acknowledgement and professional networking opportunities.

Kathleen McGrogan, Psy.D., is a Clinical psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience serving culturally diverse adults of all ages in both English and Spanish.  She is certified in a number of evidence based practices including CBT, Crisis Oriented Recovery Services, Seeking Safety (for PTSD/substance dependence) Interpersonal Psychotherapy; she is also extensively trained in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Bereavement counseling, Mindfulness, and Parenting.

She conducts screening for cognitive deficits in older adults as well as ADHD screening in adults.  She also offers Immigration Evaluations.  Dr. McGrogan is LGBTQIA2s+ affirmative, and enjoys incorporating her client’s faith and spirituality into clinical work.  As an outgoing, community oriented person and a natural organizer and planner, her favorite roles are block party captain, mom, neighbor and friend.  She enjoys a regular yoga and meditation practice to keep her grounded.   She and her husband are active in a local marriage encounter group and in their faith community. 

Dr. McGrogan is a catechist for the confirmation program at her local church and a perpetual student/learner of world religions and cultures.
